I’m a Certified, Professional Behavior Specialist and Dog Trainer. This is my second career, as I proudly served my country in the Army as a Staff Sergeant Cavalry Scout for nine years. I am certified by 2 nationally recognized dog training schools (you can see those certificates in the photo gallery). I specialize in all behavior modification training, including aggressive and fear based behaviors. I also do Board and Trains out of my home/business. I started this business with 500 dollars my grandmother left to me, I dedicate my successes to her memory. The K9 Cavalry is a local, privately owned company and is fully insured.
Along with my years of experience working with dogs and their owners, my advanced training skills set me apart from regular chains and the average dog trainer. The state of Colorado does not require dog trainers to be schooled or certified. Therefore, anyone can call themselves a “trainer”. Having certifications and advanced schooling is imperative to provide the instruction necessary for each individual dog. One of the greatest pleasures I have in life is working with and showing owners what their beloved dog is capable of. It truly is life changing! It does take a team and training clients is as important as training their dog! This is not a hobby or a part time job for me. I am dedicated and very passionate about my work with dogs. Perhaps my best quality is that dogs both large and small love me. And I love them.
